    Biotene®
    Dry Mouth Gum

    Saliva flow stimulant used in patients with xerostomia (dry mouth).

    Active Ingredients :
    Lactoperoxidase
    An enzyme derived from cow's milk. It catalyzes the radioiodination of tyrosine and its derivatives and of peptides containing tyrosine.

    Glucose Oxidase
    An enzyme of the oxidoreductase class that catalyzes the conversion of beta-D-glucose and oxygen to D-glucono-1,5-lactone and peroxide. It is a flavoprotein, highly specific for beta-D-glucose.

Other Ingredients :
 Xylitol, Sorbitol, Gum Base

    Xerostomia caused by systemic medications,Sjogren's Syndrome and radiation therapy.
