    Topical antiviral agent,prevents entry and virus replication.

    Inactive Ingredients :
    Benzyl Alcohol
    A colorless liquid with a sharp burning taste and slight odor. It is used as a local anesthetic and to reduce pain associated with lidocaine injection. Also, it is used in the manufacture of other benzyl compounds, as a pharmaceutic aid, and in perfumery and flavoring.

Propylene Glycol
A clear, colorless, viscous organic solvent and diluent used in pharmaceutical preparations.

Purified Water, Sucrose Distearate

  • Use in Dentistry :
    Abreva is an over the counter n-docosanol topical cream for recurrent oral-facial herpes simplex infections (occurs in 20% to 40% of the US population) commonly known as cold sores or fever blisters.

  • Herpes Labialis :
    Herpes simplex, caused by type 1 virus, primarily spread by oral secretions and usually occurring as a concomitant of fever. It may also develop in the absence of fever or prior illness. It commonly involves the facial region, especially the lips and the nares.
